Description
Clockhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, and possibly earlier. It features irregularly chequered brickwork and a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with an irregular arrangement of four windows and a small single light above the door, all of which have segment-headed tops. The windows are modern wooden casements. The right-hand bays are designed to appear more regular. There is a six-panelled door with fielded panels set within a moulded architrave, positioned between two modern bay windows, all of which are sheltered by a pentice. To the right, there is an outshot with a catslide roof, while the main roof is hipped. A large chimney stack is located behind the second window on the left, and there is an end stack on the right.
