Description

This is a pair of 18th-century timber-framed houses located on the south side of High Street. The houses have been updated with roughcast rendering on the front. They are two storeys high, with attics and a basement. The roofs are hipped and feature two dormers, finished with a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The corners are emphasised with long and short wooden quoins. Each house has two windows and one dormer. Each house has a three-light bay window with intact glazing bars on both the ground and first floors. A pair of six-panel moulded doors leads to the front entrance, which rises four steps and is topped with a joint cornice. Nos. 129 to 147 (odd) form a notable group.
