Description

Biddenden Place is a building from 1624, originally erected by Edward Hendon. It has two storeys and attics, constructed of red brick, and features a design typical of the late 17th century. The hipped tiled roof includes two dormers with carved gables. A stringcourse runs along the building, and there are five casement windows with diamond-shaped leaded panes, which are not placed symmetrically. The entrance has a doorcase topped with a flat hood, and above it is a stone cartouche displaying the date 1624 along with the initials E H.
