Description
Lower Ensden Farmhouse is a 17th and early 18th century farmhouse located on the east side of Lower Ensden Road, in Chilham, near Old Wives Lees. The farmhouse is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof. The south front features a weathered plinth and a modillion eaves cornice to a kneelered parapet-gabled roof, with projecting offset end stacks. The fenestration is regular with three windows per floor. The ground floor windows are glazing bar sashes set within segmental headed openings. The central ground floor window occupies the location of a former doorway, with the current entrance now on the left side of the front facade. A 17th century brick rear wing is also present.
