Description

The village school and school house in High Halden was built in 1868 and designed by the architect G.E. Street. This single-storey building is constructed of red brick and features a high gabled roof covered with curved tiles. It has a clustered brick chimneystack and a porch leading to the schoolroom, which includes a timber-framed gable. The windows and door are rectangular, with mullions, transoms, and glazing bars. The school house also has a timber-framed gable and a dormer at the rear.
