Description

Brookswood House is a mid-19th century house built in an asymmetrical Gothic style. It is constructed of red brick in English bond, with stone dressings and a tiled roof, topped by two chimneys with diagonally set stacks. The two-storey house has two windows on its front elevation. The upper floor features mullioned windows, while the ground floor has mullioned and transomed windows. The front elevation has a projecting left-side gable with kneelers and stone coping, mirrored by a similar gable to a dormer on the right side. Stone drip mouldings and a band define the plinth. A central, gabled porch features stone kneelers and an arched doorcase. The rear elevation incorporates a 20th-century door and a one-storey, one-bay service wing.
