Description
Bybrook is a house dating from 1577, although it has been altered and extended since then. It is principally a two-storey red brick building, which was once painted. The front has four windows, with projecting window bays at each end. These bays contain four-light casement windows with mullions and a transom; the south bay also features a four-centred chamfered stone doorway with a dripstone above. Sash windows with intact glazing bars are set between these bays, with the ground floor windows having segmental heads. A cornice sits above the ground floor. A lower, 18th-century wing was added at right angles to the south front, and has two storeys and three windows. Bybrook, along with its outhouses and barn, forms a group.
