Description
Glovers is a 16th-century timber-framed cottage that has been restored and enlarged. The original part of the building is two storeys high with two windows. The ground floor has been partly refaced with red brick, and the first floor overhangs, supported by the protruding ends of the floor joists. There are curved braces on the first floor, and the roof is hipped and tiled. The cottage features casement windows. At the east end, there is a 17th-century wing that is also two storeys tall and has three windows. The ground floor of this wing is made of red brick, while the upper floor is tile hung, and it also has casement windows. To the north, there is a modern wing. Glovers, along with Clyde Cottage and Snowdrop Cottage, forms a group, with the latter two being of local interest only.
