Description

Rooting Manor is an L-shaped timber-framed building dating from the late 14th century. It features ornamental timbering and plaster infilling that is exposed above the ground floor of the south window bay on the east front, while the rest of the building has been refronted with red brick in the 18th century. There is a stringcourse present, and the south gable end is half-hipped, containing an attic window. The roof is half-hipped and tiled. The building includes three Dering windows and a gabled porch. The back wing is faced with stone rubble, and inside, there is a crown post roof.
