Description

The former Acetylene Store, now a store, dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a red brick barrel-vaulted roof. The building has four brick stacks on the roof, paired on either side of the center. There are three large brick buttresses, located in the center and at the ends on each side. At the south-east end, there are two doors set in arched surrounds, while the north-west end has two windows also in arched surrounds. This building was originally used for the storage of acetylene, which was utilized for lighting railway carriages.
