Description

The Forge is a 19th-century building located on the northeast side of The Street in Kennington. It is a single-storey structure made of red brick with a hipped tiled roof. The building features a verandah that extends over the street, supported by two arches with fretted spandrels. The Forge is listed for its sociological interest. It forms part of a group with Tile Cottage, Tutt's Cottage, and Nos 46, 56 to 60 (even), 66, and 68, where Tile Cottage, Tutt's Cottage, and No 46 are noted for their local interest.
