Description
Ivy Cottages consist of two blocks of cottages, located on the south-east side of The Street, Great Chart. The south-west block is likely a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building, with a red brick ground floor and tile hanging above. The north-east block was probably built in the early 19th century, using similar materials. The cottages are arranged as two storeys, with a total of six casement windows. The south-west block has an additional attic storey with three gabled dormers. Each block has porches with shaped Dutch gables.
