Description

This is a row of early 19th-century buildings on the west side of Southgate Street. The buildings are rendered, and originally had two windows each, now largely obscured by modern shop fronts except for numbers 8 and 10. Numbers 8 and 10 have arched doorways with fanlights, and arched windows, while number 10 also features arched windows. A cornice is present on number 8. A parapet hides the roof. Numbers 2 to 14 (even) are considered a group.
