Description
The carriage shed, dating from the early 19th century, is attached to the west end of the south front of Cranbury House in Hursley. It is constructed of brick, featuring stone key blocks, rendered pilasters, window architraves, and a parapet on the front. The shed is 1½ storeys high and has paired pilasters on each side of the first bay, leading to two tall windows with architraves. The entablature and parapet are scaled down versions of those on the main house. On the courtyard side, there are five carriage doors with rubbed brick arches and stone key blocks, along with double doors and stone coping.
