Description
37 and 38 Wharf Hill are two adjoining buildings dating from different periods. Number 37, from the 18th century, is two storeys high and constructed of colourwashed brick, featuring a brick string course between the floors and an old tile roof. It has one casement window on the first floor and a two-light sash window on the ground floor. Number 38, originally part of a larger grouping, dates from the 16th century and is also two storeys tall. Its ground floor has red brick walls, while the upper part is timber framed with original brick nogging and some herringbone pattern. This building also has an old tile roof, with three windows and three doors on the ground floor, and three modern casement windows on the first floor. There is a modern brick stack at the side.
