Description
Nos 34 to 37 on Jewry Street are early 19th-century buildings designed in the Greek Revival style. They stand three storeys tall and feature four windows across the front. The ground floor includes four doors and four shop windows, which have original frames separated by stone Doric columns, although these columns are now painted in different colors. A stone entablature above the columns is mostly hidden by modern fascias and sunblinds. The upper part of the buildings is finished in stucco, with Doric pilasters framing the windows. There are some tripartite windows as well as sash windows with glazing bars. No 34 has a modern shop front. The bands, parapet, and roof are not visible. Nos 34 to 40 on Jewry Street form a cohesive group.
