Description

Bridge End is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations and recladding in the 18th century and minor extensions in the 20th. The original timber frame is visible in the upper walls, with brick infill, some wattle panels, painted brickwork, and a small area of tile hanging. The roof is thatched and hipped, with a gabled cross wing and eyebrow/gabled dormers, with slate above the outshots. It is a four-bay house with a crosswing, and has an irregular fenestration of casement windows. A plain doorway is located within a glazed porch. Inside, the tie-beams have been cut back, and the trusses braced with crucks.
