Description
Lilac Cottage is a cottage that stands at right angles to the roadway. It dates from the 18th century, with a 20th-century extension at the west end. The building is constructed of brick and flint, topped with a thatched roof. It has one storey and an attic, with two dormers above three windows. The roof is half-hipped, and the eaves are raised above the dormers, while the gable features an exposed frame. The front, facing south, is primarily brickwork with some flint panels and has been altered. The roadside wall is made of flint with brick dressings, which shows evidence of a former doorway that has since been filled in. The windows are casements, and there is a plain door. The cottage is included for its group value.
