Description

Hayes Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse that was altered in the 18th century. The building is timber-framed with brick infill and has cob outshots, with a thatched roof. It is set end-on to the road, and is a three-bay building with an outshot to the front of the far bay, and is one-and-a-half storeys high. A planked door is located in a solid frame near the end of the far bay, alongside a casement window. The remaining bays have two-light casement windows, and there is a small eyebrow dormer above the centre bay. The roof is half-hipped at the near end and has an outshot at the far end. A stack is on the roof above the door, and there is an external stack at the far end.
