Description

This timber-framed building, dating to the 16th century with alterations in the 18th and early 19th centuries, now functions as two cottages. It is one storey and attic in height, with a four-window front. The roof is hipped and thatched, featuring a catslide at the rear and eyebrow dormers above the first-floor windows, with cills at eaves level. Number 111 exhibits flint walling with brickwork bands and quoins, though this is partially covered by rendering on Number 112. Casement windows are present, along with two small, unglazed wooden windows in the former rear wall, which is now internal. A central plain door is topped by a thatched canopy supported on poles. The west end curves at ground floor level and incorporates a door where a larger window once stood. A central stack was inserted into the timber frame in the late 17th century. The building was formerly the Buck and Dog Public House.
