Description

Swiss Cottage is an early to mid-19th century building located on Lower Buckland Road. It is constructed of brick and features a brick eaves cornice along with a slate roof that has cresting. The facade is characterized by three gables and a large central chimney that has three twisted stacks rising from a plinth. The building is two storeys high and has three windows with latticed glazing, which includes diamond-shaped quarrels, although some have been altered. The lower windows are adorned with dripstone moulds. Swiss Cottage, along with Fir Tree Cottage, which is noted as a building of local interest, forms a group.
