Parish Church. Notable Saxon building of the late C10, with minor changes of all the medieval periods. Walls of whole flints, with stone dressings; long and short work, pilaster strips, quoins; there are seven surviving double-splayed windows (some modified) and also inserted windows of one and two cusped lights, and an east window with reticulated(C14) tracery. Tile roof, of pyramid shape to the tower, surmounted by a bell turret with pyramid roof and shingle cladding. Aisleless nave, separated from the lower, mainly C14, chancel by a tower, with a south side porticus (the former north porticus is now lost). South porch. Interior, C15 replacement east and west tower arches, original narrow arch to porticus with inscription. C15 piscina, octagonal font, a Royal Coat of Arms, several hatchments (hung in the upper part of the tower) , and a number of wall monuments. Traces of wall paintings.
