Description
The Old Mill is a group of three structures, consisting of a water mill (tide mill), a mill store (now a dwelling), and a windmill, all dating from the early 19th century. The water mill is situated across a creek and is linked to a sea-wall with sluices. It features one storey and an attic, with a half-hipped tile roof and painted brick walls on the front. The windmill is a tapered circular tower with four storeys and has tarred rendered walls. The mill store also has one storey and an attic, built on brick piers to allow barges access beneath in the tidal water. It has a half-hipped tile roof with a hipped dormer, mainly boarded walls, and casement windows.
