Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage located on Bridge Road, North Warnborough. It is a two-storey building with an original design for four window bays, although one ground floor window has been replaced with two windows on the first floor. The roof is covered in red tiles and is half-hipped, with brick dentil eaves. The walls are constructed of Flemish bond brickwork, using red bricks with blue headers that are partly obscured by a colourwash. A first-floor band runs along the facade, and the ground floor has cambered openings. The windows are casements, and a French door is located on the north side. The front door is flush-panelled within a solid frame, and originally featured a fanlight and a canopy supported by brackets; these are now partially concealed within a modern glazed porch. Exposed timber framing is visible in the upper gables at the north end of the cottage and at the rear.
