Description

Rotherwick House is a 17th-century timber-framed house, with later additions, situated on The Street in Rotherwick. Originally known as Wyk House, it has 11 windows across two storeys. The eastern section of the house is original, while the western section, incorporating a gabled projecting unit, is a restoration from 1930, undertaken when the building was converted from three cottages. The roof is covered in red tiles. The building exhibits exposed timber framing, with brick nogging between the framing members. The windows are leaded casements. A simple door opening is present, and a substantial chimney is located within the building’s structure.
