Description
Purdie's Farmhouse is an early 17th-century building that stands two storeys high with three windows. It features a red tile roof and a shafted stack. The walls are made of red brick, primarily in English bond, with Flemish bond on the west side. The ground-floor openings are cambered, and there is a high plinth on the older part of the house. The windows are casements, and there is a modern small porch added to the front. Inside, the farmhouse has heavy beams, indicating that one bay has been removed on the eastern side and another added on the western side. The entrance is located next to a massive chimney breast, with the staircase positioned on the opposite side. It is said to have been built around the same time as Bramshill House.
