Description

The Old School House, now known as Winsome Cottage, is an early 18th-century terrace originally comprising three cottages; the northern two are now combined into a single residence. It has a red tile roof, with a hip at the north end and a full hip at the south, extending over a modern outshot. The building is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a first-floor band to the older section. The ground-floor openings are cambered, and flush blue headers are used to create rectangular panels between the windows and X-shaped panels in portions of the upper walls. It features casement windows and three boarded doors set in solid frames, each with a gabled slate canopy supported by curved brackets.
