Description

This is an 18th-century post office on Fishers Hill in Catisfield. It is built of red brick with grey brick headers and a stuccoed plinth, and has an old tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with two windows on the front. The first floor windows are late 18th or early 19th century casements with three lights of glazing bars. The ground floor features casements with cambered head linings, and a 19th-century shop window is located to the right of the centre doorway. The post office forms a group with Littlecroft, Elm Cottage (both of local interest), numbers 1 to 5 (consecutive) and Meoncross Boys School, situated along Catisfield Lane.
