Description

Curtis Farmhouse is an early 18th-century house with a 19th-century cross wing. It is constructed of stone walls with a tiled roof. The symmetrical, southwest-facing front has five windows over two storeys, with the southeast bay obscured by a projecting wing containing one window. The roof is steeply hipped, with a half-hipped section to the wing, and a shafted stack is present. The stonework is coursed, with brick dressings including quoins, a moulded first-floor band, rubbed flat arches, and a moulded plinth. The cross wing has roughcast walls. The windows are casements. A porch with a hipped roof is attached to the front. A long, single-storey service wing runs along the southeast side of the house, featuring a tiled roof and stone walls.
