Description

Fern Cottage is a late 17th-century timber-frame cottage located in Upper Froyle. It is a two-story, two-window building. The roof is ½-hipped and thatched, with tiled sections covering two outshots and two ½ dormers featuring gabled fronts. The timber frame is exposed, with some upper panels rendered in plaster and the remainder filled with painted brickwork; the outshots have painted brickwork, and a small section of boarded wall is also present. The windows are casements. The doorways are plain.
