Description
Rookery Cottage is a small timber-framed house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It has one storey and an attic, featuring three upper windows. The cottage is topped with a thatched roof that has eyebrow dormers, and there is a large 18th-century tapered chimney stack on the west side. The exposed frame is mainly visible on the upper wall and is brick-nogged, while the lower part is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with cambered openings on the ground floor. The windows have been replaced with modern casements, and there is a thatched porch at the entrance.
