Description

Bertha's Cottage is a small, timber-framed house located in Kingsclere, dating from the 17th century, with early 19th century and 20th century alterations. The cottage is one storey with an attic and features irregular window placements. It has a steep thatched roof that is half-hipped at the east ends, adorned with eyebrow dormers that have cills at eaves level. The exposed frame is complemented by rendered infill, and the windows are small casements. A modern porch with a thatched roof has been added to the entrance.
