Description
Chineham Farmhouse and Chineham Farm Cottage is a long, two-storey building dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with some modern alterations. The south face features ten upper windows that are evenly spaced. It has a steep, old tiled roof that is hipped at the west end and gabled at the east, adjacent to a large chimney breast. The north elevation displays an exposed timber frame, with several panels filled with herring-bone brickwork, primarily on the first floor. The walls are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with infill to the frame and a stepped plinth. The building has been modernised, featuring casement windows. There is one canopied door and a wider entrance for the farmhouse, which has a tile-hung gable supported by brackets. Inside, some arch bracing can be seen in the heavy frames, but the interior is largely modern.
