Description
Overton Rectory is a mid-19th century Gothic house that stands two storeys tall and features a prominent L-shape with gables and stacks. The south front has a tiled roof and a tapered stack with octagonal Tudor flues at the east gable end. The walls are constructed of flint with stone dressings, and there is a weathered band at the first floor level, a plinth, and windows that are either two or three lights with cusped lancets set within square frames. Notably, there is a two-storeyed bay with a low parapet.
On the east elevation, the north side is built of red brick with stone dressings, featuring an arched doorway flanked by lancets and a traceried window in the Decorated style above. There is also a single-storeyed angular bay on the north side and corner stepped buttresses. The other elevations exhibit a simpler design, with flint walling on the older part and brick, some of which is rendered, on the north wings.
