Description

This is an 18th-century building, with later 19th-century additions, comprising a two-storey block of four bays, initially set back from the road, with a 19th-century extension projecting from the second bay. The original section has a thatched roof, hipped at the north end, featuring eyebrows above the first-floor windows with cills at eaves level. The extension has a slate roof, hipped where it meets the original part, but gabled at the front. The walls are red brick, with a mixed English bond pattern on the older section and a Monk bond pattern on the newer. Windows are casement types. The building has plain doors, with an open gabled canopy above the entrance to The Close.
