Description

The White Cottage is an early 19th-century building that originally consisted of a symmetrical pair of two-storey structures, now combined into one. It features four windows and has a thatched roof that is half-hipped at the south-west end and hipped at the north-east, with a catslide roof at the rear and 'eyebrow' dormers. The walls are painted brick, but the timber frame is exposed at the upper cill level. The ground-floor openings are cambered, and the south end includes a semi-circular wall with one window. The windows are casements, and there are two doorways with plain solid frames, each featuring a six-panelled door.
