Description
The Fishery is a building that dates from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. It features a one-storey and attic structure from the 16th century, with a lower two-storey extension added in the 17th century at the north-east end. At the south-west end, there is a gabled crosswing from the 18th century that has two storeys. The roof is tiled, half-hipped at the north-east end, and includes gabled dormers at both the front and rear. There is a modern or traditionally styled tapered stack attached at the west end. The older section of the building showcases exposed timber-framing, with substantial construction and arch braces, along with red brick infill. The south-west wing is constructed with red brick in Flemish bond, featuring first and second floor bands and a plinth. The windows are modern casements, and the doors are plain.
