Description

Heywood Farm is a 17th and 18th century building forming an L-shaped layout. The building has two storeys and an irregular arrangement of windows. It is roofed with tiles, with a brick-moulded verge to the gable. A large brick stack with tapered weatherings and stepped walling is attached to this gable. The original timber frame is exposed with brick infill, and there are further sections of walling in red brickwork using the English bond technique. Some gable windows have hood moulds. Windows include casements, large French windows, and a ground-floor bay to the later wing. A later glazed porch is situated between existing and former stacks.
