Description

The Elms is an early 19th-century house situated on Winchester Street in Whitchurch. The symmetrical west front has two storeys and an attic, with three windows. The building is characterised by a large hipped slate roof, incorporating a raised central attic with its own smaller hipped slate roof and slate-clad sides. The walls are stuccoed and feature an eaves fillet, end pilasters with moulded caps, a first-floor string, a rusticated ground floor, and a plinth. Windows are sash windows set in reveals. A heavy Tuscan porch provides the main entrance.
