Description
The south-west gateway to Rotherfield Hall, known as Jarvis Brook, was built in 1897 by Francis Inigo Thomas for Lindsay Lindsay-Hogg. The gateway features piers made of rubblestone that are finished with ashlar finials, and it is complemented by decorative cast-iron gates. The large piers are square in shape and topped with pyramidal finials. The double gates have an arched top. This gateway is part of the garden setting for Rotherfield Hall, which is listed as Grade II* in the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of Special Interest.
