Description
Lower Cowden is a timber-framed building from the 16th or 17th century, featuring plaster infilling and close-studded construction on the first floor. It has a tiled roof and casement windows, including one original projecting bay window on the ground floor. There is a modern ground floor addition to the west with a pentice roof. An unusual series of brick ovens can be found in the scullery.
