Description

The Oast House is a late 17th-century building, originally the stables of Hempstead Manor Farm, now converted into a house. It is constructed of red brick with grey headers and features pilasters flanking each window bay, alongside long and short quoins. The roof is hipped and tiled. Modern casement windows have been introduced. The building has two stone doorways with four-centred heads and dripstones above, and two circular windows on the first floor. It is two storeys high and has three windows. A modern brick and stone porch now connects the building to two former oasthouses, which are integrated into the house itself.
