Description
Numbers 1 and 2 Chapel Cottages are an early 17th century timber-framed building situated on the south side of Church Street, Rotherfield. The original timber framing remains visible in the east wall, but the building has been refronted. The ground floor is faced with red brick with grey brick headers, while the upper floor is tile-hung. It has a tiled roof and casement windows, with the first-floor windows containing small square panes of glass. The building is two storeys high and has two windows.
