Description
Old Timbers and the house adjoining on the west is a building dating from around 1870, possibly designed by Carpenter and Slater. It features an imitation timbered style and stands two storeys high with six windows. The ground floor is constructed of coursed stone, while the upper floor is tile-hung. The end window bays display imitation timbering with roughcast infilling, and the first floor oversails, topped with a gable that has scalloped barge-boards. There are four gabled dormers positioned between these gables. The roof is tiled, and the windows are casements with diamond-shaped panes. The ground floor windows consist of pairs or triplets of pointed lancets adorned with red and grey brick dressings. Additionally, there are two doorways, each featuring gabled tiled hoods.
