Description

The Church of St Augustine of Canterbury is a Grade II listed building located in Flimwell, Ticehurst, on Hawkhurst Road. The church features a chancel with a north vestry, a nave without aisles, a north porch, and a west tower topped with a broached shingled spire. The nave and tower were constructed in 1839 and designed by Decimus Burton. The spire was added in 1873, followed by the chancel in 1879. The church is built in the Early English style, using ashlar stone and has a slate roof. Inside, there are mural paintings and mosaics.
