Description
The Old Malthouse and Little Malt Cottage are a house that has been subdivided, originally built in the 18th century or earlier, reusing medieval masonry with 19th-century alterations. The ground floor is constructed of stone rubble with red brick dressings, while the first floor is tile hung. The roof is tiled and hipped to the right, featuring a large brick chimney stack at the ridge. The building has two storeys and a total of eight window casements, primarily three-light. There is a later porch added to the Old Malthouse, and Little Malt Cottage has a plain doorcase. The rear of the property features a catslide roof. Additionally, Little Malt Cottage includes a 19th-century two-storey extension made of stone rubble, which has a tiled roof and casement windows.
