Description

Deerpark Cottage is an early 17th-century building located in Ashburnham Park. It is two storeys high and has three windows. The exterior is made of ashlar stone and features a tiled roof. The cottage has casement windows with four lights, which are supported by stone mullions and have dripstones above them. In the center, there is a gabled porch that includes a four-centred doorway and a room situated above it. At both ends of the building, there are stepped chimney breasts. Deerpark Cottage serves as the Ranger's Lodge of Ashburnham Park and shares architectural similarities with Court Lodge in the Parish of Ashburnham and Church Farm in the Parish of Penhurst, indicating it was likely designed by the same architect or builder.
