Description
Church Farmhouse is an early 17th-century building of two storeys and cellars, with five windows. It is constructed of ashlar and features a stringcourse, cornice, and parapet, topped by a steeply-pitched tiled roof. A central gabled projection houses a porch with a room above. The windows are casements with wooden mullions; those on the ground floor have two tiers of two lights. Ashlar chimney breasts with two diagonally set brick stacks are located at each end of the building. A tile-hung gabled T-wing extends from the rear. The interior retains good 17th-century features. The design of the farmhouse is similar to Court Lodge in Ashburnham and Deer Park Cottage and Ashburnham Place in Catsfield, suggesting it was designed by the same architect or builder.
