Description

The oasthouses and barn at Great Dixter, located to the northwest of the house, are an L-shaped building dating from the 18th century. The oasthouses are situated at the south end and consist of three square red brick structures that are connected at the roof level, featuring three cowls. The roof is tiled. Adjacent to the oasthouses is a large barn from the 15th century, which is timber-framed and covered with tarred weatherboarding. The barn has a hipped tiled roof and includes tie-beams and arched braces inside.
