Description

This is a two-storey, attic L-shaped house situated on Dixter Road, Northiam. The original house dates back to the 16th century and was built by the Sharpe family, with a substantial refronting occurring in the early 19th century. The front facade is stuccoed, while the side is tile-hung. A parapet features quatrefoil ornamentation, and the gabled dormers have scalloped bargeboards. The windows are casement windows, each with a dripstone above. A veranda runs along the ground floor. A prominent feature is a central cluster of four octagonal red brick chimney stacks arranged around a central shaft, all built upon a square base.
